WHAT IS PUPPY IMPRINTING

BUSY? LET THE PROS TRAIN AND SOCIALIZE YOUR PUPPY FOR YOU!
Puppy imprinting is a critical early learning phase occurring between 5 and 12 weeks of age, during which young puppies develop social, behavioural, and environmental awareness. Proper imprinting helps puppies grow into confident, happy, well trained and well-adjusted adults.
 
Without thorough imprinting, dogs are significantly more likely to struggle with behavioural issues, poor social skills, and difficulty adapting to new situations. They also face an increased risk of developing behavioural problems, including but not limited to destruction, anxiety, fear, reactivity, and aggression. Once this critical developmental period has passed, you cannot get it back!

PREREQUISITES

  • Your puppy needs to be no older than 10 weeks to begin the 4 week training/socialization program (with some exceptions)
  • Your puppy must be tested for and test negative for giardia​ and parasites.
  • Your puppy must have had its first set of shots.​
  • ​Payment is due in full prior to each Sunday class.
  • You are required to read and sign our release form.

​HOW IT WORKS

  • You and your puppy will attend our class on Sunday at 11 am. After class your puppy will come home with us.
  • We will keep your puppy until Wednesday morning during which time we will work on: Come, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Sit For Greetings, Walking On A Loose Leash, Watch Me, Leave It, Drop It & Take It, Manners, Housebreaking, Crate Training, Alone Training, Handling, Sleeping Through The Night and Socialization, including car rides and visits to various locations.
  • Because it's very important for your puppy to bond with you and your family during this critical period your puppy will spend the rest of the week with you. When you arrive we will update you about its visit and teach you what your pup has learned so you can continue to work on these skills until he or she returns to class the following Sunday. 
  • Let us know if you need an alternative schedule.

  • Your puppy will spend Sunday afternoon to Wednesday morning with The Puppy Experts, two of Ontario's most respected dog trainers and their three highly social dogs. VALUE $1000
